Here we are, on Forced Holiday Time, it is very important that you make the most of this time to relax and forget your normal everyday activities,you need to change the chip,if you are on this forced upon us holiday time but are full of worry you might as well give in to full time negativity, just try to relax a little and step out of the box, thinking of you and only you.
There are lots of things we can do, to get us into this relaxed forced holiday time !

Lets take some examples,give yourself the full SPA treatment,this can be very relaxing,the secret is to change your everyday boredom for a minimum of 3 days even though you are at home, the first job is to make your bedroom and bathroom the most attractive you can,dress your bed in the best bed linen you have,big fluffy pillows (just like your favourite or favourite hotel) fresh flowers(where possible, garden flowers are fine),scented candles set your scene as best you can, open your windows wide and let the fresh air in, take your breakfast back to bed with you, enjoy it and relax,listen to music and let your mind drift away and plan your SPA day. Prepare your bathroom, light the candles and run a lovely deep bath,fill with bubbles and soak away,a great home made exfolliator can be made with honey and sugar,you really will feel the difference on your skin,the SPA touch, and finish with cool cucumber over the eyes and just relax,if you have a partner to enjoy this with then great your next step has to be a special SPA massage,if not you just continue to pamper yourself ……………………………………………………………………….and enjoy every second another important point is to disconnect all phones, your on you time remember.

If you want to be more active,than do an activity that you can do within your home, exercise is always good for you and beneficial for you health and body,the secret is to do things that you always say you never have time for,now is the time you just have to remember everything that normally you feel you are missing, make a plan and stick to it, just because you are at home,think holiday mood, lots of people tell me they would love to meditate,but find that there daily lives just don’t allow them to do it, always something to do, and even if they catch a little time,they can’t switch of to be able to meditate,now is that time,and you will find that later you will be able to incorporate it into your daily live without further problems.Whatever is on your wish list, take the opportunity if you are holidaying at home, and if you can really go inside your inner self Bon Voyage, the one thing we all always want is more time for ourselves, don’t let this opportunity pass you by………………………………………

Did you know that when you become anxious over a matter and feel anxiety, stress etc., the next two hours are possibly when you are the closest to having a heart attack, the quicker you learn how to calm down after any kind of upset the further away you take yourself, for this not to happen
When we concentrate on our respiration, it immediately helps to calm us down, when we become nervous our heart suffers, and the heart muscle becomes weak,as the situation becomes more dangerous, we pump more blood as we let out hormones and this is too much for the heart, we also triplicate the risk of cholesterol, when we are under stress we generate more energy and we need more fatty acids and glucose substances that requires the liver to produce more cholesterol.
Our blood pressure goes up in the clouds and keeps raising with stress and anxiety, in difficult moments concentrate on your breathing, when you are in a situation, place your right hand on your chest and your left hand on your lower stomach, breathe from the abdomen , taking the air slowly and deeply through the nose, hold for a few seconds and let it out though the mouth. You can also use a paper bag, and breath through the bag in the same way, when you breath quickly due to stress/anxiety, this is when you can become dizzy .

Practise relaxation methods progressively , lie down and concentrate on different muscle groups in this order,
1. Face Raise your eye brows, crush up the nose and close your eyes, push together your lips and release.
2. Shoulders Raise them up and release
3. Chest Fill your lungs with air and release it slowly though the mouth
4. Abdomen Push inwards and release.
5. Hands Close hands into fists raise to shoulder level and release
6. Thighs Tense the muscle and allow to raise slightly of the floor and relax
7. Feet Try to raise towards your head and release, relax
Do you tend to suffer from stress and anxiety,do you suffer from having no patience, you are easily irritated, you are always in a rush, you have difficulty expressing your emotions, you feel resting or doing nothing as a waste of time, if you feel you are any of things, you need to start working on improving it and attempt to resolve as soon as possible.

Good morning, good day to you all, sorry I have not been around for the last few days, I had issues with my internet, however today seems to be okay and I hope it stays this way.
Well, although I really did not want to touch this subject, it seems I have no great choice we are all confined to our homes and living through a situation we maybe had only read about or seen in a film, and each day it is becoming more evident in our lives, although we know that together, working together and following the instructions set out for us, our world’s will recover and eventually we will go back to our flow of life, although I have serious doubts as to it being the same, this is a world changing event.
However, my wish for you today is to keep strong, keep your mind clear and positive, no matter what is going on around you, and know that there will be an end to this lockdown that most of us are living through………….

Its springtime and we start to do activites that have been forgotten during the winter months, we often forget that we should start this process slowly a little at a time, instead we get carried away with the spring weather and away we go, full steam ahead….. the result can sometimes be painful, however we do not have to wait for pains or illness to set in to obtain the well being our bodies deserve, a visit to a qualified quiropracter can be at anytime, not just when we feel discomfort, a good quiropracter will correct any bad posture habits we have collected along the way, that we are not even aware of. If you are a sports person and feel very fit, does not mean that during your day to day activities you do not adapt the correct posture, if this is not corrected they can later give problems in the back area, and body, this can apply to anyone regardless of your job or everyday duties.

The aim of the quiropracter is to unblock the nervous system which is responsable for sending the information needed from the brain to our organs, muscles, articulations etc., this is done by adjusting our bad posture and aligning our vertebras to the correct posture.
There are ways we can help ourselves, we can learn to position ourselves in different situations
When standing alot……………Rest one foot of the ground, this will take pressure of our back and prevent any curving of the spine
When sitting alot………………Always straight, don’t let yourself lean forward , don’t cross your legs, you can however cross your feet at the level of your ankles.
Air drafts………………………..Never sit with your back to a radiator or air conditioner
Sleeping…………………………The best way to sleep is on your back, with a pillow under the knees, sleeping face down can cause a curve in the spine,and damage to the neck and shoulders. If you sleep on your side mend the kneees ,if your pillow is to high this will cause damage or discomfort to the neck,shoulders and arms.
When you wake, bend the knees,swing them round to one side to leave the bed and let your hands help you lift up from the bed.
Stairs…………………………….It is important to place the whole foot on the step of the stairs, not just the arch of your foot.
Bending…………………………Bend the knees and don’t let your body lean forward.

This is a discipline that will give you a wellbeing of body and mind, it is necessary to obtain the equilibrium we need of our nervous system and avoid negativity from our everyday habits,over sitting, due to working in an office type job, travelling,bad eating habits and insufficent rest during your sleeping time. It is also important to remember that high heels can create damage,the same as jet lag and everyday stress a regular visit to your quiropracter is very beneficial to your overall wellbeing. There is no use of medication

Today’s post has come about due to various emails I have recently received regarding divorce……and I think it is a topic worth going over when we decide to close the door………………..

On the surface, when we see people in this situation we tend to automatically think that they have had a few rough years, but at times they can also look better than ever, with a spring in their step and tell you “I have never been happier” once the shock and strain of the divorce has been dealt with, the finalization kicks in, and the divorce is finalised.
It can take some people a long time to get to this stage, many people struggle with it, but, it can be for many reasons and the sooner the person can identify the reason, the quicker the process of healing or just generally getting over it can take place. These reasons can range from pure heartbreak to shame… If we look at heartbreak, where you have loved unconditionally to find you have not had that love reciprocated or maybe worse still been betrayed while living under the same roof, we tend to go through a string of emotions and anger will be one of them ! You can’t avoid going through these stages, but you can help yourself by being true to yourself and your self worth right from the start, Do you really want to be with someone, who doe’s not love you or loves someone else? I think we all know the answer to this question, but are we brave enough to face or admit this ?

Are we emotionally strong enough ? The answer is, of course we are, if we have children, many people can do this for them, you focus on them and not yourself, you provide a safe passage for your children, through this storm. By placing your focus on them, your attention is re-directed from you, now if there are no children, you must focus on yourself, but not with pity, you do not need to be a victim, you need to focus on organizing your new life, in a good clear way, find clarity to avoid bad decisions, start to look for what you really want in your new life, this is your opportunity to create a new life, with new routines, to do things that maybe before,due to your circumstances, could not, do not look at this as all bad, turn it into all good wherever possible for you.You may have to move, and this in itself is a big job, that needs lots of focus, focus on what you need to make this change the right one for you and your family if this is the case, you may have to down size so you will need to organize a big clear out ! If you are not moving, make your home yours and again that of your children if that is the case, you have no need to look at anything that will only bring back memories if they are painful to you.

The time will come when the divorce is finalised and you will feel that everything is going to be amazing, you will be able to laugh about certain things, it was painful at the time and you know you can laugh about something and tease yourself about something, you are fine, and you will be fine. You feel like you have completed a mile Stone, and the following time will feel like a complete new chapter in your life. It’s a fresh start, for all of you,don’t ever have any regrets, any decisions you have made previously were based on your life at that time not now, now you move and evolve and change. Where children are concerned, at times no explanation is needed, children are very clever and adapt very quickly to new situations, it is a difficult period for all in this situation, and you protect your children from lots of things, if they want to talk let them, it is important, they feel they can express themselves and talk freely, the better the relationship with your x partner the better, for all concerned, children need to feel safe and secure and not in the middle of a battlefield, if you find this hard at the beginning, think and focus on them, not you, you will understand the situation better than them. Don’t ever be ashamed of what people will think, it is your life, not there’s, nobody looks for divorce, it happen’s, and can happen to anyone and if you know this is your case, not doing it, is worse than dealing with it, no excuse is good enough for you and your family to be unhappy. After the storm come’s the calm, be happy always.

When we try to define exactly what we want, we can become very confused,with so many things coming into our heads at the same time, it is at these times that we may become irrational,this is not good, when we have irrational ideas they tend to win the battle,and even the most sensible and positive of these irrational ideas will send us into a painful spiral,one of the most painful irrational ideas we have is to have the need to be approved by all, our friends,family and generally the people around us,it is very common to have these thoughts,but they really do work against us,we all really know that it is impossible that the whole world approves and agrees with us,but,when are parents,friends,partners don’t approve our actions and thoughts we do not accept it, why? On the rational side, we may think, I like that everyone loves me,and agrees with me,but, I don’t need it, the difference is on the need, we know that some will and some will not, however if we learn to accept this fact,and understand that nothing is wrong with us, people are different in the way they are and there thoughts, that is why we are all individuales it does not mean that they do not love or care for us,there is nothing wrong with a difference of opinion and the world is not going to end.We are first, this is not a selfish view point,we have to be the first on the list, if we are fine with ourselves then we can be fine with everyone around us,if we renounce ourselves,we will not be giving the best we have to offer.

The irrational thought should be ” I like to be liked,by the people I love and care for,but i do not need to be,it is not neccessary” I do need air to breath,…………. if my parents and friends do not approve of my actions,it’s okay, I would like them to have approved, I need to do what I feel is right,what is important for me,without looking at everything a thousand times at what others will think, if you are not true to yourself, you will feel anxiety and a great deal of stress.
Remember that people will always give us advice, especially the people who love and care for us, sometimes they can even put a totally different light on things, so listen and think, the solution or advice they give may suit you better, the importance of being rational is that you finally choose what you want

To define what you want, you have to know exactly what that is, you may need to make various lists before you have your priorities in the order you would like, you must then activate your desire, visualise your goal with vivid precision,this can also take time, but practise will make perfect, then create your plan and take action,adjust and connect with others that hold similar goals,you need to surround yourself with positive people, these people will understand how you think and why you think this way, to be around negative people at this moment will only slow your process down.You can do and create what ever you want,if you believe in yourself you will achieve your goals.
