Are you afraid of future birthdays ? at times we don’t like to admit it,but time does not pass by, it flies by !!! However it is possible to accept in a positive way the passing of the years, and we can blow out the candles full of excitement and joy.

30….Your life is still a blank page, all the doors are open, and life is full of opportunities and possibilities which are there for you. You may have started your own family or you may still be free of responsibilities,but however it is, the world is still at your feet. This is an age where you know what you want, but not to old to know that certain things can be lived again, this is an age where you can dream and work towards what you want to achieve. We all know someone you avoids their birthday like the plaque,or just jump around their true age, and hide it constantly. We can forgive them for the time elapsed and the society we live in, full of propaganda regarding youth, wrinkles fighting age, and the bad news is we fall for it every time…..We don’t realise at the time that by having birthdays we are tremendously LUCKY how bad would it be if the end of the line was 35 !!!!!

Everyone seems to be looking for eternal youth, magazines,TV,publicity the internet is full of how to look young, maintain the body, it’s as if, if you are not young you are finished, this in turn invites society to look badly on a more mature person. It’s true we all feel younger than we are and the years pass rapidly the older you get, but if we look back at maybe are own parents or grandparents, each generation looks younger and is probably more fit, than the generation before us. Each age has its special things and times and this is when we realise that eternal youth is possible in your interior self. 40….With maturity comes knowledge, maybe at 40 someone will stand and give you their seat, or maybe refer to you as Mrs, you feel offended and wonder if they need new glasses ? You feel young, and you are,but we are not 20…and don’t behave like a 20-year-old. The great thing about 40 is, you know what you WANT and more importantly you know how to get IT and you know what you don’t WANT so make the most of it and enjoy.

50….More experience than ever, everybody talks about the crisis of being 50, well, when you get there, you will feel younger than ever, life can be great, your body may have changed a little, but you are still you and if you take the correct steps to care for yourself, you can still have new projects and really enjoy this coming decade. 60….Now your really FREE, nearly at the end of your working life, who ever thought you would be near retirement age, don’t worry this is just another step into a new part of your life,you may even have situations that are new to you, this is the time when grandchildren start to arrive, and you were thinking what am I going to do with my time, this is your time to do what you truly feel, travel, shop,take a hobby you have always wanted to, be you and enjoy this stage as much as the rest. 70….Live every second, this is a time when you properly feel good with your self, you eat well, do as you wish, so should be under no stress, you are happy and relaxed, keeping busy with what you enjoy most, just think how fabulous Sofia Loren looked at 70 and is. 80….Make a balance of your life while enjoying it, Life gets longer all the time, we have better life styles, and maintain our physical fitness to better levels, we are very healthy and care for ourselves in better ways and if we are happy what more can we wish for

Always remember, do not RESIST the age that you have, it happens whether you want it or not, do what you WANT don’t wait for others to know what you want, CELEBRATE your birthday is important, it’s only a number, Live the AGE you are now, it’s important to have respect and dignity enjoy life in mind-body and soul.And never forget your sense of humour!!!! ENJOY EVERY DAY

First I have to make a point that everyone seems to be mentioning just lately,we all seem to be eating our way from boredom and extra time, we all of a sudden have on our hands…. it’s spring with me and will be soon summer time and we start to peel away our winter layers, we start to think of holidays, the beach, pool visits,we start to show parts of our body that we hide away for the biggest part of the year, so………..the pressure is on !!!

We start to think of dieting to shed those extra kilos……some of you even starve yourselves for days on end, not a good idea, apart from feeling very light headed,weak and generally not in good shape, your scales will probably not move at all, you see shedding those kilos has a secret……….it’s all in the MIND, it’s true !! I know you are now probably thinking, in my mind i’m a super model, then you look in the mirror and think who am I kidding………… well, you’ve just said it, “WHO are you kidding ” the answer is yourself, somewhere deep inside, you feel that you are not worth it, you may choose to not believe this,but it is very true, some deep hidden believe of your own stops you from shedding those unwanted kilos, dieting is like anything else, you have to WANT it, really WANT it, it is a state of mind…….it may take a little time and maybe a little help from a professional for you to work through this, it can even involve weeping, wailing, swearing and the good old general making up of excuses, the crux of weight loss to most is to realise that you are worth it, the opinions of others is totally unimportant, you do this for yourself, because YOU ARE WORTH IT, YOU ARE WORTH SPENDING TIME ON, WORTH SPENDING MONEY ON, YOU ARE VERY SPECIAL AND AS IMPORTANT AS ANYONE ELSE, YOU ARE ALLOWED TO THINK OF YOURSELF FIRST,

All this mind work can bring around an amazing revelation to most of you ,because the core issue will be within yourself, make your mindset, believe you can do it and deserve it, you will start to feel great and very proud of yourself as you shed the weight, no pills or finiky fusy diet sheets to follow, just eat healthily, enjoy the food you eat, and try to exercise a little, a 20 min walk is enough,it’s the little changes that eventually make the tremendous changes.

The purpose of life ;
When we speak of this inner discipline, it can of course involve many things, many methods. But generally speaking, one begins by identifying those factors which lead to happiness and those factors which lead to suffering. Having done this, one then sets about gradually eliminating those factors which lead to suffering and cultivating those which lead to happiness. That is the way.

If we utilise our favourable circumstances, such as our good health or wealth, in positive ways, in helping others, they can be contributory factors in achieving a happier life. And of course we enjoy these things – our material facilities, success and so on. But without the right mental attitude, without attention to the mental factor these things have very Little impact on our long-term feelings of happiness. For example, if you harbour thoughts or intense anger somewhere deep down within yourself, then it ruins your health; thus it destroys one of the factors.

The greater the level of calmness of our mind, the greater our peace of mind, the greater our ability to enjoy a happy and joyful life.

It’s good to know that Chi Running is a work out that incorporates body and mind, to run better and avoid injury with less effort and finally quicker. Always remember to do a warm up before any exercise routine and also when you are finishing.

The strength of the mind,…………Running is one of the best exercises to drop weight and tone up the body, many people turn away from this form of exercise if they are not great runners,but this is not the case, you can run at the speed you want, start with a quicker walking step and build up, this exercise is not a question of speed, it’s mind and body working together, running for your life can cause health issues, however Chi running can help you to eliminate issues…………..it can be used by anyone. You set your pace !

The mind will do most of the work, it decides which muscles will move and relax, pay attention to the signals you are sending to your body, you need to be aware of the response and movements. Breath deeply it is one of the most difficult important factor’s and the one that most runners forget,therefore you will be tired very early on, remember that more oxygen reaches the body the more efficient the exercise will be. The more the muscle is relaxed the oxygen will carry easier to the cells, if you suffer from stress it is more difficult to move and you will feel more tired. Good posture is important here, place yourself in front of a mirror and go through your motions as if you were out doing your daily Chi running.Start slowly and build up to your comfort zone. Leave your headphones at home, this is a moment to listen to yourself, total concentration between you,your mind and body as one.

A WISE CHANGE…………………………..

This is the best change we can give ourselves by far, when we see that problems are meant to be solved and that problems are like the homework in life, we learn with every single one, but the biggest and best teaching is within the change. Many of you will become anxious with problems and will lose the normal calm and control you have about you, some will instantly freeze and have no way of resolving the said problem, most of the time that is because it is what you believe or have always seen to be the way to resolve, when we make that change , are mental change of how we view problems, will we gain control and a better method of dealing with them, it will not give us magical abilities to take the problem away, but when you change your view, that a problem is just that, a block in the road, a obstacule to get around a hurdle to jump which ever way you view,it is possible to eliminate it from your daily life, when we push it to the back of our minds or just keep pushing it away, we are delaying the day we have to deal with it and we allow it to torment us until we make that decision, at times it is hard, not everything is in our hands, but when possible the sooner you deal with it, the better you will feel, remember that by remaining calm, you keep your objectivity and clarity, you can even at times take yourself out of the equation and not feel the personal direct connection if there is one. When we mix emotion panic fear and many more feelings and thoughts we have an explosive outcome, which is not clear for anyone.

When you are next confronted with a problem, big or small !! Change your way of viewing this, a problem is sent to be solved, it is not something to send you into a tizzy and panic…..take a deep breath and if necessary write down the options of a solution you have, keep calm and choose the best plan for you and then take the action required to rectify or resolve the problem at hand. Remember that with every problem we are learning something, it is up to you to establish that learning curve and to take the opportunity that is being offered to you, don’t bury your head in the sand.
