FOOD ADDICTION

We all are aware how delicious food can be, and that it is one of the greatest pleasures in life, and that, there are certain temptacions that our brain cannot resist… although we have promised ourselves a thousand times not to try that certain thing again…..

There are certain foods that we have a greater love for than others and we cannot resist no matter what, in fact, some we even feel guilty about if we eat them, this is due to additives that are within that food-producing pleasurable sensations to us and well being,

Coffee/Tea……….Many people need a dose of coffee or tea in the morning, and actually depend on the beverage, coffee contains a natural stimulant which keeps you agile and active all day long.

Cakes……………….These are foods which we use as prizes and our brain sees them this way, we eat more of them when we feel we deserve a prize.

Ice-cream…………….Now this is one of the most addictive food there is, and it acts in a similar way to cakes, the more we eat the more we want.

Refreshments…………In recent studies it has been proven that sugar can give us a very addictive behaviour , which is why we become totally hooked on fizzy drinks and refreshments in general that have a high content of sugar, or sustances that sweeten them even more.

Chocolate………………..The action of this delight is that it bounces us into energy action, and of course its stimulant in caffeine, it also holds chemical substances that influence our brain, it can also due to its carbohydrates and vegetable fats can calm your anxiety and even lift depression, of course, this is only for a short period !!

Cheese/Milk ……………..Diary products have calcium and protein of a high quality, which make them them an active ingredient in diary products,diary productos are favourable for sleep and calm the body and stressful situations.

So, how do we overcome the anxiety of eating, it is so difficult to resist them but easier to keep to some recommendations, don’t allow your body to react in times of stress, by eating foods we know are not good for you…. follow a strict timetable regarding meals and eating, take up the habit of eating five smaller meals a day, at set hours that should not be changed, this way you control your appetite and take on a new routin everyday, choose wisely what you pick at during the day, pick foods low in sugar and high in fiber, fruit with the skin is good, yogurts and brown bread. Eat proteins, they are low in adictive sustances especially meat and fish.

Saturday morning 1

Do you ever think how mean you are to yourself ? Probably not ! until something drastic happens in your life and you realise that you exist in a big way and not only others need you and your time, you need yourself, you need to nurture and care for yourself with all the love and care you give to others, this is your life and we only have one, we have the same right to be happy and feel safe and secure as anyone else. 

So why do we deny ourselves these simple little treasures of life, maybe we are so busy taking care of our families, jobs exterior issues, we tend to neglect our little self…….this is not done with intention, quite the opposite, I honestly think we don’t realise the little hamster wheel we put ourselves on.

So how do we get out of that hamster wheel ? The easiest way is to plan yourself into your day in the same form we do everyone else, if there is room for all of that, there is room for you…….the secret is not to make any excuse,(that’s how we got to the bottom of the list originally) we are as important as anyone else, in fact, if we were not here what would the  people who depend on us do ? You need to think of this, every time you are ready to make your excuse……………When we start to think about ourselves we really can achieve amazing things, we just don’t think of ourselves enough, try it, you have nothing to lose.

HOW YOU RE-ACT!

How much time do you spend in automatic mode, may be you think you are saving time and thought, or may be you are creating alot more work ahead, you see automatic thinking is may be fine on very mondaying chores, and can be that way, the method works, however if you stop to think of various situations you have gone through or are facing, it is how you have reacted or will re-act that will give you a positive or a negative outcome. It is all related to how you feel and which kind of a frequency your feelings are when being transmitted on, for example if you don’t have enough money, you are not going to be over the moon, you are likely to be in negative mode, and this is what will stop you from changing your circumstances and this will create more financial difficulties, you see , you have gone virtually onto automatic mode, we do it without a thought, however if we start to re-train our thoughts, the power of feeling good which is really quite remarkable, is not acknowledged by everyone, you need to take control of your feelings and control them instead of letting them slip onto automatic pilot, as they say……………you cannot go through life feeling good and feeling bad and not realizing that you are creating this by their feelings, and that this is the cause of what happens to them, you see when you give out negative feelings you simply get more negative feelings back to ponder on, which create negative circumstances, its like living within a hamster wheel, being unable to get off, the only thing that breaks that motion is positivity and good feelings, you have to change what you are transmitting…..

Every moment, every day is an opportunity to change out life, what we have and what we have around us, we control this with our feelings and it will influence every area of your life………………….when there is an area in your life, where you are unhappy, think about it, don’t just automatically react as you always do give it your time, and realize that you have around you what you have created in your thoughts and feelings, change your feelings and thoughts and your life will change, be brave and courageous, feel what you really want to feel…..
