Self-Approval

So, what is it that makes us want to be liked, we seek for others to find us, friendly kind loving nice people, we all want the approval of others, it is so important to us…. this can stem from childhood, where some of you will of been seeking approval, wanting again that response of being liked by others, some of you will be living with the worry of being left if you don’t meet with their approval, you feel you will be abandoned and left alone if they do not agree with our ways and actions, and at times we even look for this approval from people that have nothing to give. It is possible that at these times you do not realize how lovable you are, and that you can actually approve of yourself.

For us to be able to live happily and within the way are higher power wants us to live, and to be in harmony with the universe, we need to have the ability to let go of this obsession to be liked and loved by others, the love you feel for yourself is far more than enough, we sometimes base our feelings on our past experiences and they stay with us, this only gives power to other to control us, this will stop us from acting in the best interests of ourselves and being true to ourselves.

We can approve of ourselves, and at the end of the day, it is the only approval we truly need and that should count and matter to us.

” Today, I will let go of my need for approval and my need to be liked. I will replace them with a need to like and approve of myself. I will enjoy the surprise I find when I do this. The people who count including me will respect me when I am true to myself”

WHAT IS AND HOW DOES RESILIENCE LOOK LIKE……..

Most of us live for our hopes, dreams and what we plan for our life, but at times, things get complicated and things change that force you into a different path, we are going to look at resilience and how we find it, when going through bad times we can and do generally emerge stronger and far more resilient.

Some of us, need to find our resilience when we lose a loved one, death ends life, but the relationship, doesn’t end.

When we lose a loved one, we tend to lose our way for a little while in everything we have dealings with, not only our direct family and surroundings, we tend to float around for a little time, not very sure of where we step, we can even be in shock for a while, however at some point we realise that we must carry on, maybe for the sake of children, older parents there can be many reasons for us not to let them suffer anymore than necessary. It is important that we have someone to talk to, and to realise that children for example can be extremely resilient and strong, and this is when we flourish with our knowledge, maturity and of course resilience.

We have to remember that most people who lose someone in these sad circumstances. will know that within their heart, that the person who is no longer here, would not want us to be sad or unhappy…..you have to find your fighting spirit, and build up your resilience to go forward, thinking of your future in a good sense , to dare to believe of a brighter and happy future is one of the first steps, it is so important on your way of viewing your situation and how you see the matter, it is so important that we focus always on what we have and not what we have not or lost, when we value what we have and our life you will always find a way to keep going,we need to rebuild your life, when we think of resilience, we need to consider that by facing fear we build our resilience and stop avoiding it. We need to be emotionally strong to create resilience.

HOW TO AVOID SEPTEMBER BLUES

You can free yourself if you take the right steps………………………………………………………

If you are one of many who return to work this month, don’t let the September blues get to you, you can take control of this situation to make this month easier

TIME – Don’t be late, this is very important, not just from your employer’s point of view but also for you, if you start your day being late, you have just added the first drop of stress into your day, and in most cases, this will stay with you all through your day and will only get more stressful as your day goes on. Returning from holidays where you have probably slept long into the morning, late nights, long morning at your pace and doing as you please, the routine factor is one of the first things that cause stress, but we can help ourselves here, wake earlier than you need to, give yourself that time you need to readjust to your new routine, keep the stress levels down,(obviously this evolves going to bed earlier) by giving yourself this little extra time, the feeling of your holiday freedom will stay with you that little bit longer.

Make the most of every hour you have within your workplace, this will give you good results, and you will feel good (most important) this is where your personal attitude has to take control, don’t go to work with other distractions that will give you no benefits in any area. The more mentally prepared you are will help you through your day, the time will pass much quicker and your stress levels will stay low.

help yourself 4

Enjoy your lunch break, don’t enter this time thinking “I only have one hour or half an hour” enjoy this time to eat, relax and enjoy your coffee, stop thinking about your afternoon tasks, just simply enjoy the moment.

One of the biggest September blues is thinking that we now only live for work, the holidays are over, and back to the grind-stone, it is therefore very important that you continue to do family activities and hobbies and of course yourself, most people think that this is impossible due to our added daily tasks, they are wrong this is just a question of the organisation of time, your time, if you have to make a list at the start to help you, do it, a list of all the things you need to do and all of what you want to do, then fix it to your timetable, this is not impossible, where there is a will there is a way.

Sleep more, low productivity and no motivation are classic symptoms of September blues, this is due to a lack of sleep, so it is most important to sleep, go to bed earlier holidays are a relaxing time, but, sometimes we need a holiday to get over one!

And most important, when you plan your new timetable and routine, remember the eight rule, eight hours to work, eight hours for you, and eight hours to sleep.

Move into September with energy, vitality, and most important attitude your view of how you see things will be your biggest help, we can’t take September out of the calendar so make the most of it, it really is in your hands…………………………………………………..

We are not alone….

Do you balance your job/s and family, the last few years have seen big changes within our working environment, in some ways it has made life easier and for others more difficult, working from home has become a big thing in our working world and many people do not wish to return to their original working place.

For working women with families and home obligations, this new way of working has been heaven sent, you are able to tend to your working obligations and also on your home front, we need the flexibility this gives us and enables us to understand certain things from another perspective, the pandemic actually swept away so many of the expectations regarding the forms we have been used to till now when working. This needs serious faith from the employee to the employer, you are working freestyle with no one looking over your shoulder, this is maybe why we have so many new entrepreneurs starting their own businesses, working from home is the new IN thing to do, it gives you flexibility and you help yourself, while also helping others, many surveys have taken place and they all say the same, flexibility/work/life balance, and working for yourself gives you all of those things and also in some cases all the support you may need to set up a highly successful future.

We always need to remember to help others and be conscious that you don’t give back, you give forward, working in a relaxed environment like your own, making your own decisions, and working the hours you wish, and know that by helping your colleagues you are also helping yourself, there is no room for jealousy or competition, you run your own race at your own pace and that will always give you balance and flexibility.
