We all get frustrated and a bit forgetful from time to time,but don’t panic just yet it can be quite normal,things such as keys,glasses,confusing your children’s names,go to look for something and then can’t remember what your looking for, or just can’t retrieve a name a place, when it’s there right on the tip of your tongue, believe it or not these things are quite normal……We all get that way at some time, nothing to do with age or circumstances, however there are some amazing things we can do to help ourselves from making this a permanent problem in our lifes:-
Sleep, is one of the most important things, deprevation can seriously affect our memory,mood and how we generally go about our daily duties,we must try to avoid phones,computers etc from the bedroom, the light they transmit stimulates your brain and does not allow you to fall asleep, the cooler the room the better, a warm bed is nice,wind down before bed time and relax, Check your blood pressure, high blood pressure is greatly linked to dementia,you should check this on a regular basis.

Walk, it costs nothing but the benefit is tremendous, it really can take your memory problems away, it’s great for your health in general,but great for stimulating the brain, to obtain cardiovascular benefit also a good brisk walk of about 30mins, as often as you can, every day if possible, doing this on a regular basis will give you a great ability to plan and organise your life. It raises a key protein in the brain area that is essential for learning and the memory.

Another freebie is the sun, this get’s the level of vitamin D raising, and of course the best thing is sun, try to get out in the sunlight as much as possible.

Dancing, a great way to keep fit, but also is the challenge of learning new steps and routines that keeps the memory active, it’s a great hobby and can be enjoyed alone or with your partner, quick on your feet, quick decisions and movement.

Food glorious food, an important point to keep dementia away, the mediterranean diet is by far the best, rich oily fish,olive oil,vegetables,red fruit and walnuts for good vascular action, also wholegrains red meat and added sugar is advisable for type 2 diabetes, as this is highly linked to dementia.

Get out there, socialise as much a possible, to be around people is a great simulate, it’s not healthy to be totally isolated,to learn new things and a change in your routine are all favourable for keeping the brain active, if we are occupied and always up for a challenge both physically and mentally, we will always benefit.

HOW TO MAKE YOUR WISH…………………………………

We are going  to make our dreams come true, after receiving numerous mails, all concerning the same thing, we ask and ask but nothing happens?…….. this can be for various reasons, but the principle little culprit, can be, us and our energy vibration, it’s a question of wish/desire over need, these are two very different things and give completely different energy and emotion, when we need, we can come from a place of desperation total fear, anxiety…this is not good, we send everything away from us, the fear  alone will cause a fright!! when we wish or desire something we get an up lift, we are happy and excited just thinking about what we desire, and this will bring a totally different energy. If you wished for a fantastic ice cream or a spoon of olive oil which would you look forward to most !!!! Your energy and emotion would be totally different, and this is how it works when we have our one to one with the universe, for the message to arrive we have to deliver, the messenger has to know how to do their job, (this is harder said than done) I admit to that, but if we think of our ice cream experience, maybe it’s easier to understand where we should be emotionally,when we set free our wishes to the universe. Can you see the difference ? if you can master this you may well be on your way to seeing your dreams come true. If you think back to something you desired, it could be a dress, a book, a holiday and suddenly everywhere you go, you see what it was you wanted, think how you felt at the time, you were probably very calm, happy and knew exactly what you wanted, this also is very important, when you identify your object of desire, you would love to have it but not a desperate need, even if it is money, it would be nice, but if you feel desperation you only keep it away from you, maybe thinking more of the pleasure of having your desire will keep the fear at bay, the emotion you hold (the energy) will depend on the flow of its journey.

You are the artist to your own reality, every choice,action and feeling contribute to your beautiful life.

EATING TOGETHER…………………………………….

This is a joy that at times circumstances do not permit, but, it is very true that eating in company is much better for your health than eating alone. Many of us as children have enjoyed the family meals  around a wonderful table, good food and hopefully good conversation, for many families it is a time of day and at times the only time, that all the family are together and can talk about their day, each one being different, a place where family holidays, trips and general chit-chat is a memory for many. As we go out in the world, university or our first jobs we find we may miss this moment and this is where we start to acquire our bad eating habits, standing at the coffee machine, sandwich in hand, or a quick break while still sat at the computer, no table,no conversation and totally bad for the digestion, therefore not healthy at all, we will also accumulate more stress,added to the morning stress we already carry with us. Sitting at a table with time to eat in a correct fashion gives us time to take our mind of our daily duties, meals are to be enjoyed . The meditterean way is beneficial not only for its ingredients, it is also a way of life,a meeting,an ocasion to share laughter and comfort the ones we love with stories old and new. It is also a proven point that meals in the company of others is usually at a slower pace, we usually don’t serve as much food as if eating alone to ourselves, and our calorie count is less than that of eating only in the company of yourself. It is if eating in company feeds us in a certain way, we should learn to satisfy our own needs, it is time to abandon the coffee machine or computer and take every opportunity we can to eat in the company of others. Bon-Apetit………..

FREEDOM FROM WORRY……………………………

Do you ever take a stock take on the everyday little things that worry you, do a little inventory and start to eliminate them on a daily basis, this way you are moving forward and making room for happiness and your confidence will grow stronger. We cannot go through life without problems, we would be kidding ourselves to believe that, but we cannot become obsessed with a problem either, all we achieve with that is to lose sight of the final outcome, our happiness and happy end. To worry about something more everyday doe’s not give us the solution to solve our problems, it is important to occupy yourself and not just concentrate on the fact of worry worry….. by taking our mind of the problem we start to overcome the problem and if you don’t succeed, let things take their path, going over and over the problem will only bring you suffering and impotence,when we go from one problem to the next the worry factor becomes a habit, you have to free yourself of negative thoughts and enjoy your life. What is the worse that can happen, if you continue to worry it could affect your health, and then where would you be.

There are problems that cannot be solved,but if we try to change our attitude towards them, it is possible that they may affect us less.Try to concentrate on positive thoughts, when your mind goes over and over the same thing, try to change it into a positive thought, this will help to reduce the anxiety, think about things that make you happy your family,future plans holidays etc.,its knowing how to change negative emotions into positive ones, enjoy what you have and be grateful for it, when we feel bogged down with worry and anxiety we tend to forget the good things we have in our lives, health, love family when we take note of these things we are helping ourselves to feel better and benefit by feeling calmer. Many times our anxiety feeds our fear,consciously or unconsciously we feel we have no capacity to resolve our problems and this causes insecurity within ourselves,this is where are confidence levels must raise and convince ourselves that we are more than capable to face the problems as they surface. When we have a problem and constantly worry we tend to magnify the problem by 100%, you have to try to be objective and put things into perspective, to be objective will help to see things from another angle.

Nothing lasts forever, not even your problems……………..
