Mindfulness is a new word, which is actually a method used many many years ago, The great masters of wisdom used a method, which was simply awakening the capacity to semi-meditate and this way live life in full potential and at peace with one’s self, it was called Vipassana, and in essence consists of living in the moment and you being the witness of this moment including mind-body and emotions.
It allows you to distance yourself from your own person, from the attitude of complete acceptance of yourself with no judgement, experimenting each moment to be enjoyed. With all the stress and anxiety in the world today, mindfulness is like a secret way to turn off , not your mind but to find yourself in a place of peace and you are not the problem. To get to this point in your everyday life, there are a few things you can do, which once mastered will not take any of your daily time, it will just become automatic to you…………………………………………..

Breakfast time – You have to convert this into special time, once you have decided what you are going to eat, take a moment, think about what you have in front of you, where did it come from, its natural origin, what energy is it giving you and your body, be grateful, smell the goodness and enjoy every bite… (this does not mean from the supermarket and you brought it home !) This could be a good weekend job, if you are rushing in a morning.

Mid-morning breathing, we all need a moment for equilibrium, the ideal situation is to take a break and do a little yoga, but for most of us if we are working this would be difficult, however to catch a breathe , we can all do this, if it’s outside better but not necessary, put your full attention into this and breath slowly and relaxed, take about 5 minutes, you will feel the difference, you will sense wellbeing and the you will recuperate from any early morning stress.

After eating 100 steps – It is always recommended to take a little walk after you eat, it is very healthy and good for the digestion system , tranquil and calm, be aware of your movement, your feet connecting to the earth, the rhythm you maintain, balance your arms and their movement, don’t correct anything just walk and enjoy the moment.
From ancient times the ritual of bathing has always been associated with purity, regeneration and even meditation, prepare your warm bath, comfortable to you, add your mineral salts, oils all the aromatic essences you want. Undress as you would always do, but be aware that you are taking away all the social obligations of the day, slowly enter the water having the awareness of all the sensations you feel and smell, decide you are leaving all your stress from the day in the bath, you will feel a new person.

Natural music therapy – We are very sensitive you sound and natural sensations, it is something built-in us. So maybe after dinner I suggest you find a natural piece of music, the sounds of nature are very soothing, it can be the sound of the waves, a bird singing, leaves blowing in the wind, or running water, listen fully conscious knowing you are transforming slowly this is no radical change, it is gradual, a simple transformation that will allow you to sleep better, wake better and generally have a great life a good life.

How many of us have made this mistake, maybe all of us at some point ! Until we learn to create our new story, write down what you want and start to take action by reading your new story instead of your old one, time and time again, it’s far better reading and you start to move forward………….

Today has gone, tomorrow is coming ! Who know’s what it will bring ?

Do you suffer from fear, do you think it could be holding you back ? is it in between you and what you want. It can be a block and manifests as fear from many years ago, your childhood, were you afraid of not being clever enough for your parents or friends during your schooling, and this sticks with you, so you always feel fear, when you are about to move forward in your life, there it is between you and your dream.
This is obviously very connected to your self-worth and self-esteem, or in this case lack of, we still believe that we are not clever enough, this is where meditating the vision of you being super smart can help, to think positive regarding yourself, and to see yourself as you truly are, not by what someone has had you believe, this is where our own belief system is so important, you can change this and remove the fear and remove the block.

You see, blocks in this case fear, are nothing but a story someone once told, and you have never updated, so tell yourself another story, a wonderful story of how a wonderful person, (that person being you) held no fear regarding anything, the unknown no longer makes you feel afraid, you see, when you tell yourself this over a period of time, you will believe it, your belief will change, this is a form of affirmation regarding you. You must adapt this to your particular fear, failure, embarrassment, ashamed of being judged, like a book cover what ever the fear you really don’t want to experience ever again. This is created by how you see yourself, you are afraid of what people think say and do, if you saw yourself in the right image, you would not feel this emotion, known as fear. This is how you become blocked, stuck just generally wasting your precious time, you are capable of much more, and you know that, so what are you going to do ? to release yourself of this that is between you and your goals and dreams………..

Write a list of your biggest fears, be honest with yourself this is for your eyes only, so being honest is the only way it will work, once you have your list, decide that it is time to say ADIOS , think about your feelings and fears for a few days, take a deep breath, one or two, deep and full and let them go, where ever they wish, this may sound very simple to you, but remember the story, this is mind over matter and you can do it. Free yourself and move forward the chain of fear has broken and gone.

Sunday, yet again, this one is maybe a little different if you have little ones, they are back at school, so maybe they have homework to do, maybe they are a little tired after the change in routine during the week, they need time to get into the swing of things as well, or maybe they are as active as ever, and looking for things to do, try making one of these trees, they are great fun and lovely to keep !

And if you are lucky and can just please yourself, have a great relaxing day, don’t think about tomorrow that will come soon enough……..

In the mean time, prepare the mojito’s and Fiesta all day long !!!!

Today is so special ! I am having a great day, with my loved ones, it does not get any better than this, I woke this morning, feeling good like any other day, lazy coffee and checked my emails, big thankyou to my new followers, yesterday was a great day for me with followers and I am always grateful for that, I showered and dressed and out I went to the town, we sat in the town square shaded by the big leafy trees watching the world go by and catching up on nearly three months.
I feel so happy, we chatted about this, that and everything, the time flew by but I came away with such a good feeling and happiness, now eagerly waiting for the next three to four months to go by, even with all the technology we have today, to sit and chat and share a coffee cannot be replaced, a big hug or two !!
So,I just wanted to share my happy moment with you and hope that whatever you are doing today, you are happy, that you feel happiness within, take it away with you store it up, I would bottle it if I could !
