I have just been for my second revision since by open heart surgery and thought this post was perfect for today……………………..
We have so many things to do during the day that we simply forget to stop, and take a breath of fresh aire and give our heart a little rest from the daily stress we accumulate. You should know that there are some very simple ways to bring calm to us and within, and will relax the heart muscle, and release tension which really is necessary.
It’s easy to put into practise, just lower the gear a little, you have been highly active for most of the day, and its time for a little pause, eat well and take your time !!! How often do you do that ? It’s that moment to give yourself a little treat, maybe some dark chocolate or a little siesta….which really does repair everything. Your heart really will appreciate this and feel great.

Did you know that by drinking red fruits(strawberries berries etc.,) in juice form, you can reduce by 40% the possibilities of suffering heart disease, this is due to this kind of fruit which can significantly raise your cholesterol level (good cholesterol) in the blood and also the number of antioxidants in the plasma, three drinks a day will help strength the heart, the best time to drink this juice is one or two hours before you eat.
Never forget to laugh,even without a good reason, don’t let your day go by without laughter, even if you are alone, we all have moments we can remember and laugh about, you produce and increase the endorphins which help us with positive thoughts and sends away anxiety, laugh till it hurts !!When we laugh we also produce gamma waves, the same as when we meditate.

Watch that sun, I love it, but if it is higher than 30 degrees you are increasing you chances of heart problems if you already have a little history regarding your heart. When it is hot, the heart needs to work harder than normal. If you already have a problem or have had, don’t go in the sun during the top hours, from 12 to 15 hrs, do not exercise and you are better in doors, and drink lots of water, should you experience problems breathing, this can be a sign, seek medical help.
Holidays are a great help, if you change your surrounding, people who tend to stay in the same place, can be at a higher risk. the reason for this being that they don’t totally disconnect, if you go to different surrounding it is easier to disconnect and to relax.

Do we really know who we are ? It is one of the biggest jobs we probably ever take on, it is no easy task knowing who we are, and if once we know who we are, are we happy with what we find. The best kept secret regarding happiness is being happy with who and where we are and making the most of everyday and opportunity that comes our way. We take on board what others have to say, if they don’t know you, why worry,it is not anything personal,it may come more from envy or lack of information, don’t give it any focus, you only need to focus on you and what is happening directly with you and your surrounding.

You are responsible for your happiness, never depend on anyone else to make you happy, if you are single and unhappy, you will not be any different with or without a partner, until you resolve your own inner happiness, happiness does not always mean you have everything you want, it means being happy and loving what you do have and being grateful for it. Another way of finding happiness is having the ability of letting go of what is necessary, your excess baggage and what you know is a handicap to your progress. This does not make you selfish or a person with no feelings, you just need to be more aware and never let your happiness depend on someone else.
Once you find your own life and you are happy with it, you are then in a situation to share it with people of your choice, you may come up against opposition with friends or family, but it is highly probable that they are not happy with themselves, so how can they be happy for anyone else.Just think of how many times you may have given something up, but you didn’t you kept going, happiness is a choice, not a result, nothing will make you happy until you make that decision to be happy, no one can do this for you, happiness wil not arrive on your lap, it can only come from you.
Every love story is beautiful, but yours with yourself, should be your favourite.

The health benefits of being open to the universe and using our inner power and positive thinking, from the beginning of the day can truly change the outcome of the whole day, and eventually your whole life when they form a daily habit in your life.With using positive thoughts regarding your future and how you see that future is far more important than how you saw your past, by maintaining a positive attitude (mind-set) you are giving yourself power over your circumstances, instead of your circumstances having power over you, positive thinking sets you free to be able to do everything better than negative thoughts. It has been said that positive thinking enables you to see the invisible, feel the intangible and reach the impossible.
It has also been said, The greatest discovery of all time is that a person can change his/her future by merely changing their attitude.
Don’t pay attention or focus on matters you cannot change, put your attention on what you can ! It is your energy, your mind-set your attitude.

When you choose to live in the past, you have to be strong and sure that what you are going through is something constructive and is something you can build on, use it to your ability not your destruction !!
Why do we choose to cling to the past, do we feel comfortable, more at ease knowing what there is, or do we live in the past, because we are afraid of the unknown, is it really better to suffer with the known or suffer for the unknown ?

It takes courage to move into tomorrow or even today, and it takes courage to stay and suffer, so on a normal day, what would you choose ? To move forward would always be the positive choice, until you make that move, you will have no idea regarding all the wonderful things that are waiting to come into your life, when you make this decision you will feel the space opening up to you and your new life ahead, we always have to make room for anything new we want in our life, when we wish to replace something we have to remove the other to make the space it needs, we need to clear the path we wish to travel, where will it lead, you will never know unless you take that first step.
If the past you keep returning to is upsetting and sad, why would you want to deny yourself happiness ?, you are worthy of happiness, each and every day. When you see for yourself your worth and birthright to be happy in what ever area of your life you seek, things will change, until then you will just repeat the same pattern time and time again, to achieve a change you need to change certain things and areas in your day-to-day living and thinking., this is your choice and no one else can make that decision for you, what you have to remember is it takes the same energy and courage as it does to continue with your suffering, it is a question of mind-set. If you are struggling with an episode from your past, are you ready to make that change ? Are you ready to make that promise to yourself.

Self Kindness/Self Love.
I have had quite a busy week, with more things falling into place after my open heart surgery, life is slowly becoming normal again and my work pattern also, which I am pleased about, I love to have my connection with people and more so with my coaching, I love to help others and achieve great satisfaction from my results and kind words of my clients.
What I did learn, however, from my surgery, was how I wanted to see my life and how I felt about myself, I have always been a person who cares for myself, in the sense of keeping fit, having mainly a meditterean diet and a not so crazy life style, but I started to realise the things I was maybe missing, due to flying through life with our obligations and duties, the time we actually give to ourselves is very limited, we do not need hours, but we must come high up on that list that we all have. Feeling true love for ourselves is essential, when we love ourselves in the true sense of the word, we can and do love others we value ourselves and know our self-worth, therefore allowing us to see it in others, and allow that true love to flow.

Remember to love yourself and always have your heart full of love and kindness for you and those around you.
