Sleep for some, can be one of the hardest things to achieve, here are five little tips to help you to have sweet dreams, the sleep you need to be your best during the day.

Step one……Take a wonderful warm bath or shower, if you do this about an hour before you go to sleep, it will give you time to relax naturally perfect for a good nights sleep.

Step 2……Make sure your bedroom is completely dark, lights soft or otherwise can disturb your sleep, also your curtains should not allow daylight through, until you open them in the morning.

Step 3……Do not use your bedroom as a TV lounge, there should be no TV if you really wish to rest well, no computers or phones, if it is necessary to have a mobile phone in the room, place it on silent mode. You should have no electronics if possible.

Step 4……Exercise in the evening is a big No No, running or gym should never be done after 9/10 in the evening, however yoga or meditation is extremely beneficial.

Step 5……Try to sleep on your back, with your head, on a slightly elevated pillow (A very thin pillow will keep your neck with a natural curve) This will stop you from waking with lines and bags under the eyes. However if you feel more comfortable to sleep on your side which is good for your back, and place a pillow between your legs at the height of your knees.

Any suggestions for switching off the full moon 🙂

Our windows are not the problem. It’s the pull of the full moon. It has always affected my sleep pattern.

I’m not the only one. I know of many others. And it is very well known that the moon affects people’s emotions = hence the term lunatic.Anyone who works in aged care (as I have done), bank managers and shop owners can tell the phase of the moon by peoples’ behaviour.
