HANDS- You may be thinking this is a strange subject to write about, but I need your help today, to really get across what I have in my mind, I would like you to put your hand out in front of you, and really look at it, what does your hand tell you about yourself, or what would it tell someone else. Will you or someone else instantly see if you cared for your hands, is it manicured, is it young looking or aging nicely, our hands do show this, regardless of what we do, are they working hands, soft hands, strong hands….. our hands can tell you so much about someone, how people care for their hands will show you how they care for themselves, you just have to look.
Hands, are probaly one of the things that we take for granted, if you think how much our hands do for us and others, lets take care of the basics, we cook and we clean for ourselves and others, we care for ourselves and others, we touch we soothe we heal we work we make ourselves beautiful for ourselves and others, we groom and dress ourselves, we dress others, we feed others, we caress our children and others, if you notice we do a lot of things for others with our hands, not just ourselves, we paint, we plant we even express ourselves with our hands, I could go on and on, what would we do without them…. that is the big question, so, do we really know how grateful we should be, for these wonderful hands we have.
When we look at this hand above, does it make you think of your children or maybe a little brother or sister, there is something very special about a little hand, with little chubby fingers, they hold your hand so tight, a little afraid to let go, even when they are tiny they know the power of the hand..it’s safe for them when they have that connection, if they hear a loud noise or something makes them afraid, you feel the little hand grip tight, you a
re their life line, when a child is born, one of the first things they do is grab your finger, with that tiny little hand. The hand that you are looking at now, is the hand that has guided your children, that is always there for your children and family, as adults we still hold hands, hands transmit safety, encouragement, love and passion. Two hands holding each one can talk to each other without obviously saying a word. They have sensors that we probaly never think about, think, where would an instrument be without passionate hands, would your walk on the beach in the park or down the main street be as passionate or a beautiful memory as it is today. So look at your hand, and remember all the wonderful memories you and others have experienced.
