This is a wonderful tradition for the children, the excitement they show on their faces, when pending the big challenge, of the Easter Egg Hunt, will they find them all ?

I love today, the joy it brings to the little one’s, and the stories they tell you of how they encountered the Easter Bunny !! What wonderful imagination they have …….

Have a lovely Easter weekend, enjoy your family and the true essence of Easter, where ever you may be.
This procession takes place in the early hours through the streets of Sevilla, there are many to see, this is just one, it is very special to the Andalusian people, people stand all through the night to watch this, and of course the men who carry Jesus are under tremendous strain, and total devotion.
This also happens in most regions of Spain over the Easter period, but Sevilla is probably the most famous.
Good Friday as we know, commemorates the crucifixon of Jesus. There are two possible reasons why this Friday bears the word Good, one may of come from the Gallican Church in Gaul (modern day France & Germany) “Gute Freitag” is Germanic and means good or holy Friday, the other being a variation of God’s Friday, where the word “good” was used to replace the word “God”. There are many traditions on Good Friday, but all processions are somber and most people wear black including all members of the church. Candles in the church are not usually used on this day, this form of presentation is to bring awareness of the grief for the sacrifice of the son of God.
Here in Spain, Easter week is known as “Semana Santa” it is celebrated through out the whole of Spain, the processions are taken very seriously and in total silence as they make there way through the town, village or city, one of the biggest and possible the most well known is the procession in Sevilla in the province of Andulucia

Sevilla is full of beautiful churches, each having their own, Dama,Jesus on the cross, Saint, they vary. Each church parade with their congregation, the bearers are known as Cofradias and to be a part of this is a great honour. They each have a band, which plays the compass, a slow somber march, which they practice all year, to be perfect for the day.

You can see by these pictures all taken in Sevilla, the amount of people attending, each church has its own procession, with their own Jesus or Lady of the church, which is carried through the city, you can see in the picture above, the typical black attire of the ladies complete with Mantilla (Lace head dress) these are still worn and also at weddings, the Mother of the bride and groom are given this honour to wear if they wish.

Most of us, love family tradition, Family traditions create positive feelings in families, they create memories, they strenghen your family bonds, they enrich the life you share and give general well-being.
Tradition’s can be annually, but they can even be daily, eating one meal a day together, is a tradition, with the tv, mobile devices etc., it is so easy to loose face to face conversation, and finally your re-connect each day time. Eating daily together can be valuable time, for everyone to express how they are and what is new in their life.

Annual events are probaly the most popular due to families growing and starting their own families and tradition’s, which may vary a little to accomodate new members, but respect the original traditions of the original family incorporating the new members, we have Christmas probaly the biggest of them all, which most families split over the two…

When we exercise the heart muscle, it pumps better and transports more oxygen into our body. It also helps to reduce tummy fat, stress, high blood pressure and cholesterol.
It is known that the heart can be trained, it is never to late, to improve the pump and rhythm, when you exercise on a regular basis, you can strength the fiber cardiac muscle which in turn enlarges the cavities of the heart, which allows a larger amount of blood in each heart beat which transports more oxygen into the body.
A person who does no physical exercise their heart will beat approx 70 times a minute. However the person that does exercise on a regular basis their heart beat will be approx 40 times a minute , but they both pulsate the same amount of blood. There are many factors that can cause damage to your heart, high blood pressure, glucose in the bloodstream badly controlled and high cholesterol can be dangerous for your heart. However due to numerous studies, we have learned that 30 mins of gentle cardiac exercise can help better these situations, this exercise is always better during the morning to help activate the metabolism.
