13th, Is this lucky or unlucky for you, I love the number 13, and of course today is Friday the 13th, here in Spain where I live it is actually Tuesday the 13th that holds the fame as that DAY !!

I am also a great believer, that we make our own luck, if that is the right word to use, I prefer magic, your create your luck/magic yourself, and it can all be through our minds, you all know the story of stumping your toe on the bed as you get up in the morning, and the whole day seems to go that way, well, have you ever thought that you have carried this with you through your day, nobody wants a black toe, first thing in the morning and we probably moan and curse for quite some time, then we may have the unpleasant pain that we feel and of course reminds us of our brilliant start to the day, so there it is, right up in front of all our thoughts, which just brings the next downhill thing onto us and our little world……..we attract these things to us, however if we had been able to just forget about our wake up call, the day could have been a lot different.
The way we start our day and more importantly the way we think, what thoughts we allow to pass through our mind will influence the day ahead and our life in general, this is why everyday is a new opportunity for us all, if we change our thoughts we can change our world and what is around us. Take note the next time you are excited about something and are waiting for that day or event, how things around it and through that time will be just fine and happy for you, the same applies when we are taking an exam or have an important meeting, if we think about this in a negative way (which is usually due to fear) the result could be that way inclined, so think about what is going on in your world in positive terms, visualise how you would like things to turn out, create your reality via your mind, thoughts and visualisation, we can do this, it has been done many times, and you are capable of this and even greater things…………………………………………………………………………

EXHAUSTED, USE YOUR POWER………….
Do you feel tired at times,but, really do not know why ? Do you realise that we deposit and take our energy virtually for granted, this is not possible, we have to start to be more conscious of what we are doing, what we take in and how we can use that energy we have accumulated…..when we don’t take this into consideration we pay a high price with our health, however we can make simple little changes that will fill us with a better quality fuel, for when we need to use our personal store………

We seem to be more conscious today about what we eat and when, however how many of us actually eat what I call real food, I understand that we work, we care for families etc., and time can be of the essence, but buying food that can be made, warmed micro waved in mins, is not real food, it has been treated in such a way for us to be able to instantly eat it, and that “treated” to me, means it is not real food ! We cannot accumulate energy in our bodies without good whole and real food, a quality car, needs the correct type of gasoline, it cannot perform on water ? and we are the same, in fact we are far more important than our car (no matter what you drive) so, what do we do…..it depends also on how many times a day you eat, do you eat 35 times a week, how many of them are with real food, slowly add real food to that number and you will be amazed at the difference you feel and will see in your energy levels and within yourself in general, the higher the percentage of real food out of the 35 meals is, the better you are going to be. The nutrients you are taking into your body will probably double, it is wise to keep in mind that one of the top nutrients you should be looking at are within the vitamin B group, offal meats, grains nuts and seeds…………..

What comfy little souls we become, we can have our shopping delivered we can put into a large carrier with wheels, so what has happened to us using our muscle strength, I am not referring to us becoming cart horses, but if we go to shop and stop and bend and pick up what we need ( all within reason) it is doing us good and not bad, this action is energy producing , we build muscles , you must carry things at a weight that is comfortable to you, also if you practise Yoga or Pilates you will strengthen your muscles as they are holding up your own body weight, gardening is also a great exercise for muscle-building and also walking.

Breath in, breath deep………..breathing really does affect your energy, the way we breath is very important, especially if we wish to use body fat as fuel……This link of energy is due to most of us are continually in fight or flight mode, we live under constant stress and everyday struggles, live is not what it was, modernisation comes with a price, we only need to ask our elders on that note, previously adrenaline appeared when we were in danger, however nowadays it is present due to, too much coffee, and other substances and our hectic lifestyles, we really do put ourselves under a considerable amount of pressure, which we could avoid…………however sadly our body cannot distinguish between these things, when we enter the fight or flight mode we use a tremendous amount of energy, and we start to tread the hamster wheel, mornings we need coffee to kick-start our day, afternoons become too much for us and we need a sugar boost, the evening maybe we need alcohol to relax we do not sleep as we should and we start all over again, does this sound like a good way for your body to be ? What you want is for your body to burn away the fat, which we can do by relaxing in the correct manner and take long slow relaxing breathing, which is far better than your normal short breaths, practise really deep breathing, fill your tummy with air, as much as you can, pause, then slowly release the air through your nostrils the same way as you took it in. You can do this at work, try to do it every hour, slow long breaths, again when you wake up and also before you sleep , you can do this at any time, as often as possible, you do not need to stop doing what you are doing or find a special place, just incorporate it into your normal day and see and feel the difference.

We have mentioned sufficient sleep many times here on my blog, but it really is important, an adult should be having at least seven to nine hours sleep a night, some people leave it far to late to go to bed, and then have difficulty in sleeping and others who go very early, but still find they are exhausted in the morning, this can be due to what is mentioned previously, you are in fight and flight mode, so take those deep breaths and see how it goes,

Do you realise how fortunate you are, with what you have and the people you have in your life, do you really feel gratitude for these things, or do you spend most of your days under stress and pushing yourself every way possible, just try something new, start to notice what you have around you, it maybe a good climate, it maybe a beautiful view anything that brings you happiness, maybe your family and friends, don’t take them for granted, just because they are there………Enjoy each moment as it presents itself, live in the moment, in happiness, don’t wait for something to be able to feel happiness, when we are happy we have an incredible amount of energy.

Have you ever really felt stress in your heart, or, do you think it could be fear and not stress…….imagine yourself a little like an onion and slowly peel back the layers of what is troubling you , being late, failure, never finding success, never being loved or liked, some of these are fears, when you feel stressed, think question yourself, what am I afraid of ? when you peel back the layers and get to the core, you will be able to relax and start to see things in a different light.

BODY & SOUL ………………………
Body and soul, how this includes your happier thoughts, when we just try to think in positive 24/7 it just does not work, it can at times be very difficult to change our thoughts, just because we want to, but a good way around this is to change the way we behave first, this way your thoughts will automatically follow, just think of all the things that make you feel good when you do them, do you feel well and good with yourself when you walk for example, get into walking more, fit it into your daily program, you know what they say, where there is a will there is a way, and another little secret is to give yourself a little pat on the back, each time you do something that gives you that all over good feeling! When you do this on a daily basis your thoughts will change, instead of negativity you will be inspired by positivity, at times we search for an answer to a problem, did you know that by doing that little extra exercise, the mind releases the true answer you are seeking, you are relaxed and at the same time hyped up with your exercise, knowing you are doing good to your body, even with a pleasant walk, this enables the mind to respond in an easier way………….a static bike is also excellent for this exercise of body and mind ………………..

Another way to find peace, to be calm and to up lift your spirit is by filling your home with the wonderful fragrance of spring, this can be done by fresh flowers and herbs around the home, but also by beautiful scented candles, or a vaporizer/diffuser, when using essential oils it is fabulous to be able to layer them to achieve a truly original and refreshing fragrance. And of course last but not least, a wonderful spa type bath, is one of the most relaxing experiences out there, which can be done all within your own home, treat yourself to this luxury, all you need is time, and finding time for this should be high on your list, this is loving yourself at the highest level, indulge in luxury of your favourite fragrances and glow of candle light can do wonders to boost your wellbeing.

Find yourself, love yourself, pamper yourself how you deserve, you are worth everything and more, an important lesson never to forget !
