So, how do we stay calm in troubled times, everyone is different and we all seek distinct things to give us the reaction we require if we doom-scroll as they call it as we scan for threatening situations and news, yes, we need to know what is happening in the world, but is it essential to watch or to listen to updates all day long, this will add to your anxiety and you will feel worse.

As we go through our day, very simple little acts of kindness during our day can make all the difference to how we feel about ourselves and who we are, when we do things that please others that make them happy it will always have a positive repercussion towards you, we need to be able to enjoy life and many of us do not realize how important a factor this is, you don’t have to feel guilty because you are having fun with something or someone, there is nothing to feel guilty about? You should never shy away from enjoyment because you are not leaving in really bad conditions or in a conflicting zone, this does not mean that you don’t worry or show concern, you can put that concern to use in many ways and show your compassion in that way. When you think of conflicting areas in the world, it can bring our personal relationships nearer and dearer to us, we can start to imagine if that were our loved ones, who are so distressed, and it reminds us to be grateful for the fact that we and our families are safe and how much we love them, don’t forget to tell them that they are loved as often as possible.

When we are fortunate enough to spend time in beautiful places that nature has provided for us, or just watering our house plants etc., is so beneficial to our well-being, the great outdoors will always give you an extra boost, there is something very different about outside energy and it gives us that wonderful opportunity to slow down and enjoy the moment…
