You know we all love our dogs, (for those of us that have one!), but do we really consider them when we are choosing a new house, when we decide to move, where do the dogs come on our list ? and in what form……… we maybe look at proximity to schools and transport etc., they are essential for the human list, but do we think of our four-legged little or big friends…… they really can come far down on the list. As we don’t consider our little friends it really can affect their happiness. So if you are considering a move, please try to consider them a little.
Sometimes its funny, if we look at different breeds, we can see if we really had an open choice, which house goes with which dog ! Labrador’s and larger homes go together so well, the have this air about them which suit those surroundings……..a country home and a lab on the doorstep…….a perfect milieu for them. However now a days we tend to have smaller homes and hunting for partridge is not our favourite hobby ! but we still love our dogs, in a big way. Some breeds love adventure and the open road, some are just mischievous from day one and never alter, but the most important thing they all have mostly in common, is the love they share for you, an unconditional love that is centered around your whole being, you will never find that kind of love anywhere, they understand your mood, you don’t need to explain anything, they will listen for hours on end, and they love to cuddle no matter what the circumstances!
Most dogs are happy if they have an open space to run around in, if you have a closed in garden that is perfect, or a park close by, they love to feel free, and have a little adventure, spaniels are also easy to please they would happily live in a shipping container if they had everything else on their doorstep ! (they really don’t ask for much ) it is us, that give and give, we try to make them human, and at times we really should remember that they are dogs, however they do love a great blanket and a nice place next to the fire, they ask for very little, but always show their love and how happy they are.

I think my dogs took more consideration in moving then my needs. My dogs are my babies. I may be the crazy one that takes it a step to far. Oh well they make me happy.
