There is nothing better than adding a little colour into our rooms for obtaining that feel-good moment, each room, does in fact has its perfect colour, and what better time than Christmas to add that colour and sparkle that we may be needing.

When you are keen on a colour, and it is a bold colour, go all out make a statement with it, maybe the biggest piece of furniture could be your sofa, you maybe do not wish to recover the complete sofa, but a great throw over would be perfect in that bold colour, that is your favourite at the moment……………………………

Pink, a beautiful colour, so pretty in pink, it is a great choice for any room, as it is warm and inviting always creating a relaxed and calm space.

The power of a colour, recent studies by psychologists, certain colours have the ability to change our moods, when we use them in the home they can take our emotions to different stages and shapes, Yellow is a real mood boost, it has the ability to catch the sunshine and leave you feeling so happy and full of life…………………Red a true colour of passion, it is the warmest colour and fabulous for a dining area or social space…………………………Purple is a rich and luxurious colour it feels us with many different emotions, the deeper end of the purple scale can be romantic and the lighter end the lilac and lavender can be so calming………………Pink always gives a warm and welcoming ambience, it can be used anywhere and goes with anything…………..Blue this colour can create a relaxing and serene atmosphere, but very light blue can create a chilly feeling……….Green another great restful colour, can help to reduce anxiety and helps us to bring a little bit of nature indoors giving a natural soothing effect.

Trying to find a classic, peach is becoming very popular again and is now referred to as trendy, it is a lovely warm tone and great for autumn and winter time, and also looks fabulous with the new very in grey shades that we find everywhere at the moment.

The big question when you set to, to introduce new colour into your home, is how do you want to feel when you enter that room or space ? you have to take into consideration how you feel when you look or take in the colour in question, at times we have a reaction due to things that happen within our life, or where we may have visited, so obviously if you have a bad memory regarding a particular colour, dont use it…………Wellbeing is about finding balance, so we can use colour to create this harmony in our homes.
