When we reflect on ourselves, we have to realise one thing from the very start, the actual state of our life is nothing less than the reflection of the state of your mind.
So, now that we know that , everything is a reflection of our minds, the good news is that everything can be changed by our minds…even your body is a perfect reflection of what goes on, in that mind of yours. Happiness is a state of mind, when we take an honest, self-reflection, approach it opens our mind to an opportunity to reprogram change, success and freedom.
“Relationships are like mirrors, who you choose to date is a direct reflection of how you feel about yourself”
Self-reflection is also known as self-examination, self-reflection can be a humbling process, it is very important to find out who you are,why you think as you do, what you say and how you do things, people who do not ever consider self reflection can live life (all the way through) from a disadvantage point of not ever seeing reality. We should live life to the full as if there were no tomorrow, but always learn as if you were going to be forever alive.
“Before I ask you to sit with me, I must be able to sit with myself. Before I ask you to accept my pain, I have to accept the pain myself, before I ask you to love me, I have to be madly in love with myself “
Another major point here is the respect you show to others (or lack of ) is a reflection on your own self-respect.
You should plan time for yourself, you should plan your productive time, your educational time, your years to be purposeful, this way your life can be an experience of growth to change things, to grow.
At times we become so involved in what is going on around us, when we should be paying more attention as to what is going on within us.Some of the most amazing and beautiful things in the whole world, are not seen or touched by the hand, they should however be very felt by the heart. We are terrible creatures of forgetting the important things we should remember, but we always remember what we should forget ! You will never waste time or forget anything by giving yourself self-reflection time, it’s a little one to one. The importance of this time is to see how much you love yourself, when you love yourself you will surround yourself with people who will love you and respect you for who you are, the people you socialize with is a reflection of how you feel about yourself.
When you come across people who treat you unfairly, always remember that they have the problem, not you, something is wrong with them, everyday good people do not go around destroying other people, people can be extremely quick to pass judgement, but not quick enough to self-reflect on themselves.
If you look at life as your mirror, what you see on the outside, always comes from your inside, the mirror is not at fault, if you do not like what you see, a mirror basically has three ways to work, to show who you are, to show who you were and to show who you want to be.
” Unless you learn to face your own shadows, you will continue to see them in others, because the world outside you is only a reflection of the world inside you”
Today, go and do something for yourself, relax, take five, try to clear your mind, watch the moon, the sunset, children playing…….enjoy the simple things and most importantly enjoy yourself !
