It never has the  chance of a  rest, it cannot allow that privilege, and that’s even when we put it under great strain and limits that would make its rhythm change , if we dedicate a few minutes a day to caring for our heart, you will see how grateful it is.

Our heart beats around 144.000 times a day, making an amazing 53 million a year, and generally without complaints, knowing it can take on much more and most of the time we don’t even think of our heart and the great job it doe’s for us everyday.

However 2.9% of the adult population suffer heart failure due to heart attacks , but we can take simple steps to maintain those beats being strong and doing so for a long period of time.

Studies show that each time we medicate ourselves without professional advice, we are doing harm to ourselves, but, very much so with the heart, when we have the flu or typical cold symptoms our risk of heart failure  goe’s up, due to what we may be taking.

Although you could make a long list of things that are wrong for your heart you can also make a great list of all the goodies for the heart, what we eat is one of them, a good healthy diet is essential for a strong heart. It is not only a question of choosing good food it is also important the quantity that we consume. Any product taken to the extreme in quantity is dangerous to your heart. The secret is to eat well, but always leave the table feeling satisfied and not that you have over eaten. There are also studies that show, that a person following a good healthy diet, can handle stress, exercise and daily problems better.

Smoking can also be a big problem, not only for the person that smokes but for the smoke that is let into the air around you, people who are exposed to smoke are still at risk for heart problems and a stroke.

physical exercise is always recommended to care for your heart, a little a day is all it takes to maintain the cardiac muscle young and with the correct elasticity. It doe’s not have to be an extreme sport, just a gentle 30 min exercise a day.
