There cannot be many of us that are not aware of how to have a healthy and stress-free life, the amazing part of this transition is to make it feel so good, we love to have it within our routine.

So, let’s take a look at how we accept and appreciate our body, why do we struggle so much with how we look, always wanting to look younger due to all the glossy magazines and the images they show ! It is so important that we feel comfortable within our own skin……….you have to realise that it is not all about body shape, we are caring loving people and others are interested in us, not only by what they see outside but what they see and feel inside. Just think of all the things your body can do for you, it helps us to move freely and to carry certain things we need, however when we think about how thin we should be, we are never happy, it is important for you to focus on the fact that the glossy magazine is not showing you a true image !

We also have to remember that the image that we have of ourselves is also not real, most of us want to be thinner that what we really are, although we may the perfect weight for are height and body type. Think of parts of your body that are not related to your appearance, can you appreciate your strength your energy levels and flexibility, how many times do you stand in front of the mirror, the next time you do this make a list of three things you really like about your body, and add to that list three things that you acknowledge as qualities. Give up all the magazines you buy that only feature the ideal woman (it’s not true they don’t exist) and start to work out on a regular basis, when you find the right exercise for you, you will love it and you will be able to make it a new habit without too much effort. When you exercise on a regular basis you will find your attitude changes to your opinion of your personal appearance, your body image will please you much more. If you have not done exercise for some time, don’t worry, take it slow, do what you can, one step at a time, however you will have that feel-good sensation right from the beginning. You will feel slimmer and stronger after just 30 mins of scheduled exercise, what a great new habit to have.

Short bursts of exercise can quickly transform your body, most people complain about the time they have to do exercise, reduce it down to 20 mins, and find that 20, if necessary start your day 20 minutes earlier, you must start as you mean to go on, if you are going to form a new habit, try at least three times a week, just keep it in your mind how good you are going to feel, if its three times, do it three times….. you can increase the time  and intensity as you go along, the most important thing is to form the habit, you will, then become addicted, exercise is so easy to become addicted to. Choose a sport or exercise that you know you are going to enjoy, the more you enjoy the more you are motivated, give it a purpose, what is better than yourself, looking and feeling beautiful, what more do you want.
