How lucky I am, and so grateful , for a wonderful caring family……I love them all near and far, today celebrated the famous Day of the Kings in Spain, as you are probably aware from my previous year blogs, the Famous Three Kings of the Orient, arrived in Spain to deliver all the presents last night and today the celebration continues…….it is the Official Spanish Christmas Day, although each year more and more families celebrate Christmas in a big way on the same dates as most of us, 24/25 December with Father Christmas included, and a present is then kept back for the kings to deliver. However if you have misbehaved you may receive a sack of coal !!!

My youngest son invited me for lunch today in Valencia, what a great day, the weather was kind until the return journey, horrific thunder-storm started just as I hit the motorway, but all was fine, I have to admit we desperately need water, so we should be pleased, I can’t remember the last time it really rained and the winter has been very kind, a few strong winds, but not really cold, Valencia is generally warm, never really much below 15 degrees in the winter, even today with celebrating Christmas day it was still busy in the city center with plenty of people out and about, the coffee shop terraces were all busy and the buzz of the city was certainly switched on, my son is such a great chef and host, he is a man of detail (must take after his mama !) as always I was looked after in every way possible, and I am always grateful for that, my eldest son is still in the USA……Las Vegas this year, a work and fun trip combined, but they are having a lovely enjoyable time, which is the main thing.

So today I can officially say that my Christmas period is over and Monday everything will start to be back to normal again, tomorrow I will dedicate to getting my home back to normal. I only hope that all of you have had such a wonderful time as I have with friends and family over this period.
