There is, without a doubt, a magical feeling attached to November, we say a goodbye to Summer and a big hello to the coming season of autumn/winter, in my part of the world, it has been long coming, the heat of the sun has stayed with us, well past its expiry date, the last couple of morning, has held that secret feel to it, slightly misty, a little nip in the air, and the smell of wood burning, not always from the nearby houses, but from the local farmers clearing and preparing their olive crops and cleaning away the dry bush on the extended terraces, as they are not allowed to burn during the summer months, the permission are now valid as from October, this fills the air, with a comfortable smell of mixed woods and even damp moss, the leaves are starting to fall, and can be heard under our feet as we make are way across the woodland or gardens, slowly falling and collecting, ready to made into piles and swept away, the distinct colours of autumn mixed all together, it truly is a beautiful sight to see.

The evenings have now started to be chilly, even in my part of the world, but it is still possible to have with the help of a small fire, an evening meal el fresco the candle light is extra special at this time of the year, the food becomes heavier and we start to mix our stocks and spices..and everything also acquires that magical taste, the whole atmosphere is distinct to that of the summer, when we can enjoy the outdoors nearly all year round we truly are lucky people, don’t let this short period of the year go by without being able to enjoy it and take in all the wonderful aspects it has to offer, being in love with November is a wonderful feeling.

Have a great month, be happy ❤

Yes, it is lovely to have a candle or two burning when the skies are grey and the trees are shifting their colour schemes~ This was a lovely reflection to read, thanks for sharing
