We all know the importance of positive thinking, but how we quickly forget, no matter what you wish to achieve, whether it be weight loss, exercise program a new job success,you have to start thinking positive again. Make a list or recording on your phone of all the things you want to achieve and the why, write how good you would feel if you achieve your goal, repeat to yourself what it is you really want, read or listen at least once a day, try to make it a moment you are relaxing, sat in a comfortable place with your eyes closed, you can achieve everything you want to, if you really want it.
It is important when you remember your positivity to remember the importance of being happy, at all times, with or without what we want, within our own little world your happiness is vital, give top priority to seeing what you can do to get more fun and pleasure from your daily life. Once you really start to enjoy life,your self-esteem and sense of proportion return to you and your goal will be far easier. To be realistic is also important, to say you will instantly give up things to instantly change your habits is a very difficult if not impossible thing to do, you will be placing yourself under great unrealistic strain on your will power, you have to be careful here,as many times when we deny ourselves something whether it be food or a habit we do everyday, we can increase the yearning to do it. So be a little self-indulgent, don’t be to radical on yourself.
It’s time to ask yourself, are you happy and content with your life ? if, as so often happens, problems seem to loom larger than life, if people seem unfair or unreasonable,if circumstances are difficult, if you dislike your job, or your home or the way you are spending your days, these factors could be having an adverse effect on your ability to conquer your actual problem, The key question is, what can you do to improve things ? You need to clarify your thoughts, ask yourself, What would you like to see happen in your life? What can you do to make it happen? What is stopping you from making it happen ?What we happen if you don’t do anything and just carry on ? What will make you happier staying as you are or taking action to move towards some of the changes you would really like to see?
Change your mind-set make a resolution, say to yourself, I will start making things easier for myself, I will see what I want and take steps of action towards it, I will seek help if I need it, a gentle helping hand to guide me on my way, by taking this positive approach your journey to what you want will be more pleasant and positively rewarding. When we adopt new habits and view each day cheerfully and thinking about life in a positive way this new habit becomes easy to adapt to. So as a good intention set out each day to get the most out of the day as possible, don’t let yourself complain, not even to yourself about anything, nothing. Positive people are always more attractive to be with than negative ones and they get things done, why not be one of them ?
And finally of equal importance is the fact that you respect yourself, your value as a human being does not depend on if you are fat or thin,tall or short, your emotional well-being depends on the realization that not having reached your goals yet are not failures, just as success is not guaranteed . Think, now of all your plus points, being a good partner, parent, colleague, neighbour friend ….just being someone who is nice to be around……These qualities are what give you value as a person , not how much or how little you weight or position on the success ladder you are, use your imagination,write a list of all the things you are good at, and the things other people may value you for. It is going to be an impressive list !
