tired-1

Now in all honesty, how many of you feel like this little cherub ? I feel after going through my mails and reader that a lot of us are feeling this why, and I include myself, do we take on too much responsibility, do we prepare so much we meet ourselves coming back, is it just the excitement of the coming holidays ? Could be anyone of these things, you see, if we generally led a busy life in the home work, family etc., we all have to fit in the extra work of the Christmas holidays, and it is alot !! the provision of food, gifts, prepare the home for visitors, our lists could go on and on…..we are all different, but all this needs to be catered for beyond our present daily jobs, as you know I am a great list person, I always have a list, and I am working with my lists at this moment, which is working well for me, I keep control over everything and just tick away as I do the job, by just looking at my list I know what I still need to do or buy, and it really does help, but this year, I have to admit I feel very tired, today I had a long list, and I have decided that I will not being doing it all, I need to recharge my batteries a little later on, so today I will be passing a few things onto tomorrow. We have to listen to our bodies, and when we have an indication of enough, we really should listen, (I realise it is not always possible) but, when it is, take that five. It is not always physical, we can become emotionally tired, and our body needs that rest. Some times a 30 min break is enough, to sit quietly, close your eyes and be at peace with yourself, or take a quiet walk, a little fresh air can work wonders, or just take a lovely hot tea/coffee  and enjoy it, no rush, no mind activity taking you on to the next job on your list…….you have to have a new way of going at it, if things are becoming to much, because if you don’t realise what is going on, the chances are you will need to do the jobs you have done all over again. Make a decision today, stress, anxiety exhaustion no longer belong in your life, you need to do things at your pace, this does not mean that things will never get done, on the contrary when you eliminate stress and anxiety your energy flow will be much better and you will enjoy what you are doing instead of a feeling of obligation.

Take 5, take a deep breath and start to enjoy this pre-Christmas period, and I wish you all Happy Holidays.

Remember, you are worth everything ❤

  1. Great post! People (included me) sometimes forget that it’s impossible to do all at the same time. The only way is to do things one after another 🙂

  2. Maybe it is time to sit and have a cup of tea. It is always our choice how much to put into a holiday and including a calm hour may be the best idea ever. Thanks for the encouragement.
