What a week-end of emotion, I have had a lovely and very proud time, but I have to say I was not prepared for the emotion that was in the air from everyone present, this was far from a traditional wedding and was filled with wonderful little moments, that I will remember for ever. On arrival on the Friday evening, being shown to the suite and organising our wedding attire, for the following day, I received a little visit from my son, who handed me a personalised coat hanger, painted in pretty blue and gold bow, for my wedding outfit, a little gift, a little touch, with my named delicately painted in gold, this was just the beginning of the wonderful week-end.We all changed and made our way to the parking, where we left to go the beautiful port, where I met up with friends old and new, it was lovely to see my son’s friends who I had not seen for a while, we dined al fresco,a wonderful menu had previously been selected by my son and future wife, an excellent choice of everything true Spanish cuisine has to offer, it really was a lovely relaxed ambience and fun was had by everyone present, young, old, and children laughing. We all retired early to be ready for the big day.
The wedding started at 12.00 noon, with my son preparing to await his beautiful bride, here you can see them sat together, with myself and my other son, listening to every word, the service was very different, with friends speaking of their love for each other and funny little stories about them both, his younger brother was so over come with emotion, he found giving his speech a difficult task, but, he managed to tell his brother how proud he was of him, and what an honour it was to be his brother and to be there on this day, (we were all over come with emotion including the groom) but they truly were tears of joy,(we seem to be a very sentimental family) I knew it was going to be tearful, but I never imaged so much, to see my two boys cry in this way and hug each other was very emotional.
This was the big “I DO” moment and the rings were exchanged, I have to tell you here, that the official ring bearer, was Mojito, the French Bulldog who belongs to this wonderful crazy pair, and I have to say my first grandson !!!, I will give you a shot of him in a minute.

This was the beginning of “sealing it with a kiss, this moment really did show the love and emotion between them both” A very magical moment for all attending. As they both walked back down the aisle as man and wife, this wonderful moment happened…………………….

The happy groom scooped the bride of her feet, he raised his fist in sheer joy, and they disappeared to later return with this next magical moment…………..The guests made there way to the pool area, all eagerly looking up to a romantic balcony where…………………

All the guests had been given red heart-shaped balloons, on their arrival and the count of 1 2 3 the balloons were set free, up they went to the clouds, a beautiful sight (followed by a drone, filming everything, can’t wait to see that !)
After a glass of champagne and canopies, we made our way to the enchanted garden for lunch, again little gifts were given, diamond earrings for the Mummies !! (I love them) a wonderful watch for my son as (best man) little moments that complimented the day. After the meal, instead of the traditional throwing of the bouquet, a beautiful vintage birdcage was placed with a bouquet inside, and little keys with pretty bows attached to a board, each single girl had to take a key, and try to open the cage, all the girls filed by, but nobody opened the cage, so they decided to let the guys have a go…………………and believe it or not !!! my younger son, opened the cage………..yes, it looks like another wedding could be on the horizon !!!!!! I honestly with all my heart cannot explain everything that took place, it was wonderful day, my younger son had also made a Vegas Wedding Chapel for a photo call for everyone, as the happy couple had a crazy Vegas wedding last year !!, while on holiday for fun, And here to finish this post, as I could go on forever and ever, I leave you with the Groom, Best Man and Ring bearer complete with gold dickie-bow !! (You can see here two brothers already in tears and supporting each other to get to the bottom of the aisle ) I wish Joshua and Sonia all the happiness and love the world has to give , from one extremely proud Mother…… I love you beyond words can express.
Oh sorry, one more just had to add this cheeky one !!!!

Exceptionnellement formidable, magnifique, tant d’Amour et d’Emotions ❤

Lovely Brooke, I got a little teary eyed. Your emotions in your words I felt and they reminded me of when my youngest son became married last year. Such a treat to watch our sons get married. Thank you for sharing, have a wonderful day! 🙂
