Well my 3 adorable cats sure put a smile on my face most days 😉 although, of course, happiness is something we can conjure up without any external stimuli. In fact, without wanting to sound too much like a bore 😉 I think it’s important that our inner happiness isn’t dependent on external factors in order that we can best navigate life’s challenging times. What’s here today is gone tomorrow. What “brings happiness” one minute often brings pain (perhaps due to attachment?) the next. That’s life! 😉 All the same, the smell of the summer blossoms, the faint warmth and glowing light of a sunset in a cloudless summer sky, the taste and aroma of a vintage French wine, helping those (persons or animals) who are in vulnerable situations, phoning an elderly relative and hearing how delighted they are to get my call – are further examples of things that fan the happiness flame inside me 🙂 Joyful greetings, Sam 🙂
