This is a joy that at times circumstances do not permit, but, it is very true that eating in company is much better for your health than eating alone. Many of us as children have enjoyed the family meals  around a wonderful table, good food and hopefully good conversation, for many families it is a time of day and at times the only time, that all the family are together and can talk about their day, each one being different, a place where family holidays, trips and general chit-chat is a memory for many. As we go out in the world, university or our first jobs we find we may miss this moment and this is where we start to acquire our bad eating habits, standing at the coffee machine, sandwich in hand, or a quick break while still sat at the computer, no table,no conversation and totally bad for the digestion, therefore not healthy at all, we will also accumulate more stress,added to the morning stress we already carry with us. Sitting at a table with time to eat in a correct fashion gives us time to take our mind of our daily duties, meals are to be enjoyed . The meditterean way is beneficial not only for its ingredients, it is also a way of life,a meeting,an ocasion to share laughter and comfort the ones we love with stories old and new. It is also a proven point that meals in the company of others is usually at a slower pace, we usually don’t serve as much food as if eating alone to ourselves, and our calorie count is less than that of eating only in the company of yourself. It is if eating in company feeds us in a certain way, we should learn to satisfy our own needs, it is time to abandon the coffee machine or computer and take every opportunity we can to eat in the company of others.
