What is it about this time of the year, the winter wonderland affects our mind spirit and soul, I adore the summer months, but I love the winter also, what is it that we love so much, something that reaches down deep within us to touch all our lovely memories, a nice warm home maybe a spectacular view of gorgeous winter trees, the leaves falling and crushing under are feet, thick fluffy socks, a delicious warm drink and a book that takes us to far away lands or deep into our dreams, it’s a perfect time of the year to find ourselves, we can drift in front of the fire, imaging the images we wish within the flames of the wonderful glow of a winter fire, when all this is taking place around you we find that we encounter all kinds of emotions.

We listen to the rain, sliding down the window frame or beating its beat on the garden path, or maybe we listen to the wind howling around our home or we may be watching the snow fall, each little snow flake as unique as we are, you know as you become older you have that knowing that what is to come is better than what is gone, because our experience can only enrich anything we have already done, and therefore make any circumstance in the future better than before.

When we accumulate experience in life in general, the more we realise you have no desire for drama, conflict or any kind of intensity, you just really want to enjoy yourself , your loved ones and your home, maybe great company and it helps if you have a person who knows how you drink your coffee, even if it is you…………..

Another thing we also realise at this time of year and stage of our life, is to never take anything for granted, not a single smile or even tear…. every person we know should be appreciated and not taken for granted in anyway..our health, when we breathe every step we take, how lucky we are, so as it is Christmas time and we start to decorate are homes and hearts, remember the wonderful perfumes of vanilla, spicy cinnamon and warm chocolate, invite all of these memories and transform your home into a welcoming retreat, enjoy this time of year !
